HP Inc. has announced the new HP PageWide Advantage Press 2200 series, which it claims offers improved productivity and media versatility in a range of high-coverage applications for commercial print service providers.

According to HP, the HP PageWide Advantage 2200 series is designed to meet the needs of print service providers of all sizes. The new series apparently offers industry-leading media productivity, quality and versatility for those in publishing, direct mail and commercial printing.

HP claims the HP PageWide Advantage 2200 is capable of speeds of up to 500 feet per minute in color and 800 feet per minute in mono. The company adds that it can print high-coverage jobs up to 90 million monochrome US letter-size images per month or 214,000 custom A3 color double-sided sheets per shift.

Seemingly recognizing the need to print postcards and other applications with thicker media, HP says the new press offers increased productivity for high-impact, full-coverage jobs.

Additionally, the company says the new press has the ability to print with HP Brilliant Ink and native 2400 nozzles per inch printheads. This would deliver improved quality for a wide range of higher-value applications, including colorful business and educational books, and high-impact, high-coverage direct mail that differentiates customers in the marketplace.

HP says HP PageWide Advantage includes a unique print arc design with a robust paper path with fewer components, which reduces the number of parts to manage and, therefore, overall maintenance and service time. The company adds that the new press is designed to provide configuration flexibility, with a modular design that allows customers to start with a lower capacity machine and then upgrade the machine as their business expands or grows. their applications change.
